Yeah, the costume that I wore that year flew pretty much under the radar. I don't think anyone knew who Spaceman Spiff was even after telling them who. It was just a bunch of blank stares....

If I could justify buying tickets to Maiden (I won't support Ticketmaster and the scalper sites are either way too scalpy or they're owned by Ticketmaster) it'd be pretty bad ass to do some face painting...

There's no way Nicholson could have pulled off the "major award" scene...

There are a few scenes that he could have pulled off, but then the movie would be completely different and possibly not the classic that it's considered today...

I was thinking that exact same thing. It would have been just another B movie to be forgotten and mentioned just in passing...
