My grandmother had a pool table in the basement, and a sheet of plywood that would go on top to play ping pong. It's not a legal size ping pong table, but still cool to combine the space into two games...

I never really got into ping pong...

Goat Island park has permanent ping pong tables that are always busy...

I think the slightly cross eyed look is most of the creepiness factor...

It all comes back to this (I haven't cataloged all of the picture into memory yet so I don't know if there's any cross-eyed references so I'll use this instead...)

Well, that collection is my Christmas gift. I would have gone with a Steve Buscemi or Marty Feldman but went with the opposite spectrum...
