They all have to be road legal because they need to drive from one stage to the next on public roads.

Now that I think about it, they are racing on public roads too. But multiple stages? So it's kinda like the Tour de France where the race lasts several days?

For this race, the stages were all on private lands (awesome land owners who don't even ask for a dime to allow them to do it either)...
