We'll bring the pineapple or apple sauce - whichever would pair nicely with that.
Tomatoes are one of those weird vegetables. I like them raw, as a smooth spaghetti sauce, ketchup, and salsa. But gazpacho, stewed, warm/hot whole tomatoes are kinda gross. But for me the worst is tomato soup. My introduction to it was in day careĀ and it was just awful. The ladies taking care of us said that it's better with oyster crackers. After dumping half the box and ending up with a tomato-cracker paste it was still disgusting. The second time they served it, I wouldn't touch it. I would sooner starve. On the third attempt they gave up and realized I wasn't going to eat it no matter what. So what did they make me instead? A peanut butter, fluff and grape jelly sandwich. That was also my first introduction to the most perfect sandwich a kid could ever have. So while all the other kids were slurping that horrid vile bowl of ick, I was there with the sticky face and fingers and a sense of bliss as I enjoyed every last bite...
