You just might be right. That might have also been the year we went to Okemo I think for some late spring skiing. They had music blaring on the trails and had to take the skis off 1/4 of the way down and do a little bit of mud traversing before getting back to some thin cover.

And of course I remember the woods policy. Enter and exit on an open trail. Skiing out of bounds could mean a long walk back.
